Electronics help with reflexes and hand-eye coordination. Hand-eye coordination is the ability of the vision system to coordinate the information received through the eyes to control, guide, and direct the hands in the accomplishment of a given task. For example, if someone were playing a game such as first person-shooter or role-playing games the individual playing would be looking at the television screen with their eyes, and their hands would know what buttons to press without looking at the controller. With the computer speeds and reaction times growing with every game introduced, it is understandable that people who use games are more apt to have better reflexes. This would be more beneficial to those who play these games rather than the ones who do not. Children find using computer or gaming systems to be rather entertaining and educational. Video games can also help with reflexes when it comes to dealing with everyday situations. Conditions come about that require quick thinking and reflexes, such as driving a car or an air plane for example. Technology has made it to where we may be able to deal with these particular situations more efficiently and with greater response time. Because of the innovations and equipment in technology, users’ reaction time is faster than previous eras.
